Nicole E. Merritt received her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, where she graduated cum laude in 2009. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003.
During law school, Ms. Merritt worked as a student attorney and a research assistant in the St. Mary’s Immigration and Human Rights Clinic. She also served as the Executive Comments Editor for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Minority Issues. In 2009, The Scholar published Ms. Merritt’s Comment: The Conflicting Interests of Labor Demands and Employer Based Immigration Laws: Old Problems Require New Solutions.
Ms. Merritt has worked in the legal field for over seven years, in areas including Bankruptcy, Consumer Protection, Personal Injury, and Immigration. She joined Azarmehr & Associates in Fall, 2009.
